We are Veronica and Pablo Carbonel owners of Casa de Uruguay Bistro. We create fresh homemade products that are fulfilling and made from scratch. Our goal is to bring satisfactory food to the table, food that derives from our roots and leaves the customer content with what they ate, making them want to come back. Around 20 years ago we left our country in South America to create a family that could have more opportunities than we had growing up. We worked in a restaurant called Alto Cinco in Syracuse, New York for 17 years until Covid occurred then we moved to North Port, Florida. Once we moved, we started a business baking dessert. After doing well in the local markets for two years, we decided to expand and open up a food truck that includes dishes made in Uruguay with an American twist, traditional dishes such as the Milanesa al Pan, Choripan, and Charrua Burger, as well as at the empanadas, and recently a more famous dish known as Chivito or Lomito Sandwich.
